Bronco Jim's Background & Experience

Bronco Jim has been a Country Western Disc Jockey for 22 years in the New Jersey, Pennsylvania, & New York area. He spent 10 years traveling with the Tim Gillis Band, NJ's leading Country-Dance Band, as the band's Mobile Disc Jockey. In that time he worked 5 Years at the Yellow Rose in Manville, NJ as the weekend Disc Jockey and 2 years as the Assistant Manager. He also worked 2 years at the Midnight Rose in Quakertown, PA as the Disc Jockey on Wednesdays & Thursdays. Working with Tim Gillis led to 5 Country Cruises with the Cunard Cruise Line. 1 Cruise was on the Queen Elizabeth 2 in Canadian waters, and 4 Cruises were on the Countess in the Caribbean. He also participated in plenty of Dance Weekends held at various resorts such as The Pines, The Fallsview, The Granite, The Mt. Laurel, The Inn at Reading, The Hilton in Cherry Hill & the Villa Roma Resort.


Bronco Jim left the Midnight Rose and starting working as the Disc Jockey at the Country Dance Barn in Hamilton, NJ working a couple of nights a week there. Not long after he became the House Disc Jockey. This was around the time that Bronco Jim & Jane R. got together and Jane R. became one of the dance instructors at the Country Dance Barn. They remained at the Country Dance Barn for 4 years. Then Bronco Jim & Jane R. relocated to the Hightstown Ballroom in Hightstown, NJ and started doing Country Dancing on Wednesday & Saturday Nights for the next 4 years.


Bronco Jim & Jane R. have done a few things in Pennsylvania. They worked at Stoudt's in Adamstown, PA for 1 ½ years which had Country Dancing on Friday Nights, with Bronco Jim & Jane R. being one of three DJ's/Instructors. He & Jane R. also have done dances at some of the local Firehouses in the Pennsylvania area. For a short time they did Thursday Nights at the Bearcreek Ski & Recreation facility in Macungie, PA.


Bronco Jim ran a trip and took 160 people to the Bahamas in Feb 1998 with Scooter Lee, the most popular entertainer with the line dancers. Fellow DJ's & Instructors Jane R., Boot Scootin' Slim & Pam, Kevin & Cindy, DJ Bobby Piccone, & Steve & Nanci Knapp were staff members for the trip and taught lessons and entertained the folks.

Bronco Jim & Jane R. were invited by Scooter Lee to participate in the Dancing For The Dream Foundation Event at the Senior Olympics in 2003 in Virginia Beach, Va. along with Barry & Dari Anne Amato, Jo Thompson, Joanne Brady, Rosie & Bruno Multari, Ro & Fred Lord, Wanda & Jim York and many other instructors.


Bronco Jim is currently the Head DJ and one of the Country DJs at Montana West, Quakertown, Pa. Bronco Jim is now there every FRIDAY night for the NEW Friday Country Dance Party. Doors open at 7:00pm, the Dance Lessons are at 7:30pm with Beverly D'Angelo, who is the Head Dance Instructor. This is a NEW night that starts on Sept. 11th, 2009 and a GREAT night for the Country Dancers. The Country Dancers will be able to do all their favorite Country and Non-Country Line and Partner Dances. Admission is only $5.00 per person. This is one of the nicest nightclubs in the area so come on down!!


Bronco Jim has worked with quite a few Dance Instructors and Bands and has a very good working knowledge of Country Music & Country Dancing. He also has quite a large E-mail list and occasionally sends out information about major dance events that happen all across the USA plus dance venues in the local area.
